SOI 13 | Thai cuisine

SOI 13 | Thai cuisine

The food and drinks at SOI 13 were all shades of amazing. Its ambience and customer service are excellent. For someone that loves Thai food, SOI 13 is one of the best Thai restaurant in Lagos.

Parking was average. I guess given that we arrived at 9PM, but even then, there was no space inside the premises and we had to park outside. Average because we could actually park outside, thank goodness!. We just can't be trekking to food on Sunday night.

For a Sunday, we were so delighted to find the restaurant open at 9PM!. This feeling was reciprocated as they were so happy to welcome us. Surprisingly, other Thai restaurants were either closed or we were chased before we could get in. Apparently, SOI 13 is opened till the last customer leaves, everyday. Amazing!.

Lots of foreigners were dining at SOI 13 and so we concluded that this meant "authentic food'; it turns out that we were right!.

The owner is Thai, which makes the restaurant even more authentic. He is hands on, gentle, knowledgeable and he provided excellent service himself. This made us love the place even more.

We ordered the following drinks:

- Passion Fruit Mojito N3,000

- Chapman Mocktail N2,500

It took 5 minutes to bring the drinks - super!. The drinks were so good that we ordered two each.

We then placed orders for food; Our starter was the chicken glass noodle soup and prawn soup. Both took 15 minutes to arrive. Not bad at all!. I will definitely be going back for the soup, it was 5 stars.

Our main course were;

- Pad Thai Kai (chicken) N4,000

- Prawn curry (green) N5,000

- White steam rice N1,000

Please allow my pictures show you around the restaurant.

Pad Thai Kai The pad Thai was a slightly different texture than I'm used to. Maybe a bit softer? I couldn't really tell. There was a lot of peanuts and my Partner thought it was nice but I'm not a peanut fan so >>>>>>meh.

Final thoughts

The restaurant also has an outdoor relaxation area. The ambience was great and so chilled.

Massive shout out to author who dined at the restaurant and graced us with a detailed review. We are most grateful.

SOI 13 opened sometime in September this year. Have you heard of or visited the restaurant? Are you a Thai fan? Which Thai restaurant is your favorite?

Thanks for staying tuned.
