Hi there!

I'm Margaret, a female traveller from Nigeria, and welcome to my personal blog , TheAjalaBug.com.

Here, I document my adventures in travel and life experiences generally. Hope you get inspired!

The Aura of Art | RELE Gallery

The Aura of Art | RELE Gallery

Every single piece of art I saw in the gallery was captivating. Rele gallery is a contemporary art gallery owned by Adenrele Sonariwo, a passionate professional who quit her job at one of the big four consulting firms to establish the art gallery (read more and watch here).

Stepping into the gallery I felt a warmth environment and to crown that feeling, I was welcomed with a big smile and offered the most comfortable seat ever. I immediately knew I was at the right place.

I was informed that there was ongoing preparation for an art exhibition which was to take place the next day in the basement (ground floor). Irrespective of the ongoing preparations, the lady I met still was kind enough to take me on a tour of the gallery. As we walked around, we talked about how passionate I was about art and also discussed the brain behind Rele. I noticed the place wasn't overly crowded (less confusing)with art work and so well organised.

Like a colleague said, the gallery is an embodiment of beauty.

Final words

I know I have forced art down everyone's throat but a visit to the gallery will definitely be worth your time. Hopefully your experience will be similar to mine or even better.

Thank you for reading and hope I have inspired you to visit the art gallery. I would love to read from you.

What and where is your favourite art gallery? What are your views generally about the art galleries in Nigeria? Got suggestions? Email them to theajalabug@gmail.com or post in the comments. Thanks

Margaret.
