Here, I document my adventures in travel and life experiences generally. Hope you get inspired!

Recommended hotels in Accra; Ghana (Part 3/3)

Recommended hotels in Accra; Ghana (Part 3/3)

As usual, I will be recommending all the hotels I have lodged at in Accra (my profile picture is Best Western Takoradi, Ghana). It appears that I'm graced with "good eyes"; and knowing that searching for a good hotel can be a daunting exercise, I decided to share these with you.

While the below hotels may not be the best in Accra, they are definitely worth considering as they are less pricey and somewhat budget hotels. *winks*

  1. Villa Monticello

  2. Urbano

  3. Roots Apartment

VILLA MONTICELLO

This is a luxury boutique hotel in Accra which can easily set you back US$250-$350 for a standard room. It is 5 mins away from the airport and very secured. Breakfast is complimentary and the rooms are quite spacious. No cons for me

URBANO

Urbano is located on the major market street in Accra, Oxford Street of Osu which is 25 minute-drive from the airport. While they pride themselves as a budget hotel, I think US$120 a night for a standard room is no budget, but then, where else do we go?!.

One drawback though is that there are a lot of red-light distrint ladies in front of the hotel. I mean, a lot!.

ROOTS APARTMENT

I have stayed here three times and absolutely love it. Actually, I have experienced almost all the classes rooms, ranging from the penthouse apartment to the superior double room, and I can confirm that they are ALL comfortable and extremely quiet.

Roots apartment Accra is always the first option on my mind whenever I have to visit Accra for personal reasons. It started off as a budget hotel but I am not exactly sure where to classify a hotel that sets you back US$160 at the minimum per night.

Final thoughts on where to stay in Accra

I have visited more hotels in Accra but never lodged in, hence unable to recommend them for now. Moreover, they are quite pricey and I'm not sure anyone here would love to splash US$500 per night on a standard room. Let me know if your ministry has progressed that far, so I can jump on your train. :) :)

Thank you guys for reading and dropping me a comment when you can. It sure fuels my motivation. Do let us know if there are other nice and comfortable hotels in Accra which you have experienced. We would love to read from you.

Till next time be kind to one another.

Bless,

Margaret.
