Places worth visiting in Cross River State
Cross River State is a place of beauty and unusual peace. The State is unbelievably massive. Imagine travelling for over seven hours between two towns (particularly Calabar and Obudu) within the same State. Though, the bad road is a major contributor. Arguably, the State hosts the largest carnival in Africa and has one of the largest seaports in Nigeria.
There are so many historical sites scattered around the State. Well, I didn't get the opportunity to visit all of them, but I have curated the various places I have visited in the State to show you just why it is called The Nation's Paradise. There is a separate post on Obudu Cattle Ranch (the real paradise).
They say a picture is worth more than a thousand words, hopefully my pictures will inspire you to explore more, speak differently about Nigeria and help you build some courage to travel either Solo or as a group within Nigeria. Feel free to share, comment and subscribe.

Shamefully, the place is slowly going into extinction due to inadequate funding. The Drill Ranch is a Drill Rehabilitation and Breeding Center which started in 1991. The NGO was founded by Peter Jenkins and Liza Gadsby to preserve the life of endangered drill monkeys.
